3. Description of the Proposal: Please provide a detailed description of the presentation explaining what the attendees will learn by coming to your session.
4. Type of Session Requested: There are 2 presentation formats available. Select the session type that best suits your proposal from those listed below. Please note the time allowed for the format you choose. There will be a limited number of mini-workshop slots available, so please indicate if you would be willing to present a concurrent session if mini-workshop is not available.
_ Concurrent Session: One hour sessions in which the presenter(s) inform participants about a topic relevant to the field.
_ Mini-Workshop: 1 1/2 hour sessions designed to provide instruction with a high degree of participant involvement. Mini-workshops take an in-depth look at promising research-based practices or current issues. Participants will learn strategies and specific techniques to enhance their knowledge and repertoire of skills in a particular area.
5. Identify a grade focus and audience for the presentation:
Grades: Elementary, Middle School, High School, All Grades
Audience: Gifted specialists; Classroom teachers; Administrators; Parents; All attendees

Technology: The McWane Science Center has technology available in most of the meeting rooms (projectors, computers, screens); however, you will need to request the equipment with this proposal in order for us to match presentations to the appropriate rooms. If you will not need technology, please indicate that. It is always a good idea to have a back up plan in the event there is a technology malfunction.
